Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This website also uses your browser’s storage, which works in a similar way. This page lists everything we store, and why.
In short: the website and online booking use only what they need to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) run only if you switch them on. We don’t use advertising cookies at the moment.
1. Necessary
These keep the website and online booking working and secure. They can’t be switched off, because the site doesn’t work properly without them. They aren’t used to track you.

2. Analytics and advertising (optional)
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see how the website is used: which pages are visited, how people find us, which kind of device they use, roughly where they are (country and city), and which tours are booked, with the booking’s value and reference. Google Analytics never receives your name, email address, phone number or booking answers, and doesn’t store your IP address. Google keeps these statistics for 14 months.
It is off until you switch on “Analytics” in the cookie settings. Nothing from Google Analytics loads before that. If you switch it off later, its cookies are deleted.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_gaCookie | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another with a random number, so visits are counted correctly. | 2 years |
_ga_XSLGSGYQX3Cookie | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit, so pages viewed in one visit are counted together. | 2 years |
ght-booking-purchasesBrowser storage | Greece Holiday Tours | The references of bookings made in this browser, so a booking is counted only once if you reload the confirmation page. | Until you clear your browser data or switch analytics off |
Google explains how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Advertising. We don’t use advertising cookies at the moment. The cookie settings already have a switch for them, off until you choose. If we start using them, we will list them here, and they will run only if you switch them on.
3. Videos and other services
- YouTube videos load only when you press play, in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube (Google) may store its own cookies, as described in Google’s cookie policy.
- WhatsApp and Google Maps are links. Nothing from them loads on our pages until you open them, and then their own policies apply.
4. Changing your choices
You can change your choices at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. You can also delete cookies and browser storage in your browser’s settings; the site will then ask for your choices again.
