These terms apply when you book a tour with Greece Holiday Tours, online or by message. By booking, you accept them for everyone in your booking.
1. Who we are
Greece Holiday Tours is a tour operator in Santorini, Greece, licensed by the Greek National Tourism Organisation (licence MHTE 1167E70000949101). Contact us by email at info@greeceholidaytours.com or on WhatsApp at +30 694 585 6917.
2. Booking and payment
- Prices are in euros and include what the tour page lists under “What’s included”. The price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
- You pay online by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, processed by Stripe. Some tours can be booked with a deposit (30% or 50%); you pay the rest on the day of the tour.
- Your booking is confirmed when we email you the confirmation. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. You are responsible for giving us correct details (date, guests, ship, contact).
- If a price is shown by an obvious mistake, we may cancel the booking with a full refund or offer the correct price.
- Yacht, helicopter and other trips booked by message have their price and terms confirmed in writing before you pay.
3. Cancellation and refunds
The tour page and the checkout show the cancellation terms for your tour. Unless they say otherwise:
- Cancel up to 24 hours before the start and we refund what you paid, minus the card processing fee (see below).
- If you cancel later than that, or don’t come, there is no refund.
Card processing fee. Stripe, the company that processes card payments, charges a fee of about 3% of the amount paid. Stripe doesn’t return this fee to us when we refund, so a refund after you cancel is the amount paid minus that fee. We don’t keep it.
To cancel, message us with your booking reference. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days. The EU 14-day right of withdrawal doesn’t apply to tours booked for a set date.
4. Cruise guests
We plan shore excursions around your ship and bring you back in time for your tender. If your ship can’t stop at Santorini, you get a full refund. Please tell us your ship’s name and any change to its schedule.
5. If we change or cancel a tour
Timings and stops are a guide. We may change the route, a stop, the guide or the vehicle for safety, weather, traffic or crowds, without that counting as a cancellation. If we, a boat captain or the port authority cancel your tour, you choose another date or a full refund; we don’t cover other costs, such as flights, hotels or other tours.
6. On the tour
Please be on time and follow the guide’s and captain’s instructions. If you are late, message us; we wait as long as we reasonably can, but a tour you miss is not refunded. You take part at your own risk regarding your fitness and health: tell us before you book about any mobility or health needs. Alcohol is served only to guests aged 18 and over. We may refuse anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk, without a refund. You look after your own belongings, and we recommend travel insurance.
7. Our responsibility
We hold the licences and insurance Greek law requires. We are not responsible for events we can’t control, such as weather, strikes or decisions of the authorities or cruise lines, for loss or damage caused by you or other guests, or for indirect costs. Some trips are run by licensed partners (boats, helicopters, wineries), who are responsible for their own services and safety. Where the law allows a limit, our liability is limited to the price of your tour; this doesn’t apply to death or injury caused by our negligence, or where consumer law doesn’t allow it.
8. Complaints and law
If something isn’t right, tell your guide on the day or message us within 14 days, so we can look into it. You can also contact the Greek Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr). These terms are governed by Greek law; if you live in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country’s consumer law.
